Screaming Neons

The neon trend is screaming and is defintely back in a huge way this season. I’m not a trend whore. I usually go against the trends, but if I must, I’ll try and indulge in them affordably. Since  I’m now in the retail business, I must give my customer’s what they demand. This season is calling for none other than “Neon”. I remember growing up in the 80’s and having everything neon. Neon biker shorts, Neon Ponytail Holders, Neon Slouch Socks, Neon…everything. According to Glamour.com’s article “Neo-Neon”,  this seaon’s Neon trend is nothing like the 80’s and has a fresh and sophisticated feel. If you’re interested in indulging in this trend without going overboard, here are the 3 things you can do:

1. Go Monochrome:  There are tons of dresses in fabulous neon colors! Pair it with a pair of the same color heels, and you’re on trend for this season. Please be aware of your skin tone and match it accordingly.

2. Add a pop of neon!: This is my style staple. I’m all about muted tones, then adding that fun pop of color whether it be with a skirt, top, accessories or shoes. A white top, white jeans then pair them with sky high electric lemon yellow heels, or wear basic tank, jeans, heels with a neon bracelet!

3. Color Blocking with Neons: If you’re brave and in good with the fashion gods, do some color blocking. Add a bright neon green top, with some deep purple skinny jeans or leggings. Add a nude heel or contrasting heels/flats to finish the look.

4. (bonus) Nail Color: If you’re just not set on buying anything apparel related in the neon trend, then indulge in some nail fashions. There are bunch of fun colors you can add to those nails or toes to get your fix of this neon trend!
